Lammasingi Hills is often referred as Kashmir of Andhra Pradesh. This hill station is situated at about 31 km north from Narsipatnam, perched at an altitude of 1000 meters above sea level. This is the only place in Southern India, where you can experience snowfall sometimes in winter. Even in seasons other than winter, sunlight falls only after 10 AM in the morning.
The local people are engaged in the pepper and coffee plantations. The cool wind which blows from the forests and valleys of Chintapalli area makes the Lambasingi Hillock cool and foggy. Temperatures during winters remain between 0 and 10 degree Celsius. Some years tempreture goes below 0° C in winters, December and January being the coldest months of the year.

Festival of Sri Sri Sri Maridi Mahalakshmi Ammavaru will be held in Narsipatnam from 30-03-2018 to 31-03-2018. It is one of the most significant festivals in Narsipatnam. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing the country tonight, announced that Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 notes will not be used from midnight onwards. The Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 notes must be deposited at post offices and banks by the end of December, the PM said, adding the move was essential to fight "the disease of black money.
- From midnight tonight (Nov 8), Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes won't be legal tender anymore.
- For the next 50 days, until 30 Dec 2016,old notes of can be deposited and exchanged at post offices and banks.
- For 72 hours, until Nov 11 midnight, all govt hospitals will accept old Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes.
- There will be no change in any other form of currency exchange be it cheque, DD, payment via credit or debit cards, online payments, etc.
